So we have an old 2-handle tub faucet. I took the stems apart and replaced the seat washers, then repacked the stems. The hot water works great, but the cold still won't shut off... So... this tells me that perhaps the seat is in need of replacement. Can anyone tell me if the seat is replaceable? I can't get it out, and it appears round with no square or hex in the middle. The house was built in '34 and I'm fairly certain it's an American Standard. I've tried both a stepped and a tappered seat remover wrench and neither have worked.
