We have striped out the walls, ceiling and floor from our kitchen. Recently we had a plumber redo our in the wall plumbing. Our concern at this point of the project it that the installed plumbing in the wall sticks out about 1/2 inch from the wall studs.
Not knowing if this is common or if the plumber messed up with this installation I dont know what to do now. He used 2 . 4's inside the wall to attach the pvc and copper water pipes to. If it had been a 1 x 4 all would be fine....chuck
Since the original post I contacted the plumber and he said the vent pipe can be pulled in closer in the wall and that the wall material can bend over the plumbing. I did not like this answer so I am going to fir out the walls around the plumbing and the length of the counter. Then I will add some type of transition piece.
