I have a 1930 house with steam heat and the upstairs is always colder than down.

I have heard about thermostatic valves and wonder if they would make a difference and how they work. the valves on the radiators appear to be original and few are able to be turned.

Would the thermostatic valve make the system more efficient?

Thanks
