I'm considering installing a 2.5 ton a/c system as part of a renovation of a 1920 bungalow style house.

Aside from the final charging of the system and the electrical heavy-up (being done by our contractor), is this a project that an intermediate level do-it-yourselfer could do? I've found a couple of companies that sell reputable brand name systems for do-it-yourselfers and of course they make it sound so easy. I'm hoping to find a little reality check here.

Any thoughts/comments/advice would be greatly appreciated.
