I want to add an outlet to a wall. There is an outlet on the other side of the wall. Can I simply run my wire from that outlet to my new outlet? The existing outlet has the wires pushed into the back, can I just run my wire to the screws?

Thanks,

Dan,
yes you can extend the circuit with some considerations here...

1~ there is a box fill allowance for all conductors which should be complied with

2~make sure the older circuit has a grounding conductor ( usually bare)

3~pigtail all the conductors instead of having some backstabbed, and some on screws..
