I have a circuit breaker that keeps breaking for my master bedroom. All we have is a tv, clock radio, cell phone charger and three lamps on a 15 AMP circuit. I have disconnected every applicance, and have replaced the breaker, but it still trips. I have a VOM, but don't know how to test for a short circuit. What should I do?

If it doesn't always immediately trip, you probably do not have a short circuit. You may have an arc fault or something, but shorts usually trip the instant the breaker is turned on and won't let you use that circuit at all.

Make sure that circuit is only in that bedroom. There may be other rooms that are introducing additional load you're not considering.

If it's a faulty appliance, experiment with unplugging each of them and see if you can isolate the problem applicance. If you can't figure it out that way, it may be time to get some professional assistance.
