Hi, I am in a process of installing recessed lights and I might use non-ic or ic fixtures depending if the living room ceiling is insulated. The way I am planning to install it is to cut holes for the lights and fish the cable to corner where wall meets the ceiling and then hide it with crown moulding and get power from one of the outlet. Is this a concern because I will have this inspected. Also can an outlet handle 5 lights with 50W/light? Should I cover the wires or have it inspected first? I am quite a handyman and know a bit about electrical. I am just concern it might not pass inspection and I end up with holes to patch up. I might do 3 rooms on the first floor with a total of 15 lights w/ a total of 750 watts. I believe a 15Amp line can handle 1200W. Am I right? If I upgrade the amperage do I just replace the breaker with 20Amp rating w/o changing the wires? I live in Ontario Canada. Thanks in advance for all the advice.
