I don't know why not.
I have 2 similar CFL floodlamps on a motion detector in my backyard, and they've been working fine for a couple years. They do take longer to get up to full brightness (especially in a Minnesota winter), so they are dimmer for the first 15-30 seconds after they turn on. But plenty bright for me to see the back steps, etc.
I've heard that frequent on-off cycles burns out CFL lamps faster than incandescent. But that hasn't happened to mine.
