I want to put horizontal stripes on my bedroom wall but my mom does not quite trust me to do it right so can you tell me how i can make relatively straight lines and making them level also?
Amanda - rent a laser level from a tool rental store. It will shoot a level line all around the room.

Thank you for your help. How much would renting a laser level cost and what are some names of places that rent them out?

Amanda - I shouldn't think more than maybe $50/day. Try a Home Depot rental center - or any other tool rental store.

Just another thought, buy a 4 or 5 foot level from a store then.Cheap one's would be about $7.95 at home depot. Then just make sure the bubble in the level is dead center and mark with a pencil.Would just save some $$ from renting on,this way you don't feel rushed either to get the rental back to place. You could go at your own pace.
retisin..........she is doing horizontal stripes - getting them even all around the room with a 4-5' level will be tough. I don't disagree necessarily - but a laser level would be well worth the $$ in my opinion.

I thought if she drew a line from one point to the other and then kept the bubble level coming off from her last line it would come out all the way around to the point of where she started from.
The laseer level would be faster, but if it is $50.00 to rent B lack and decker makes a tool that hangs right on the wall by itself.
It self levels and has the laser lights,I seen at home depot on sale where I live for $49.00.
Have fun and remember to take your time.
