I painted my walls the end of last summer with a light green satin. As time is wearing on, I see alot of imperfections in the walls. My walls are are 22 years old and I fixed most of the major spots(nail pops, dry wall seems.etc..)

I was told that if I apply a coat or 2 of the same color in flat paint, my walls would look 100% better. Is this true? If so, can a flat paint go directly over a satin or do I have to prepare the walls somehow for it?

thanks

Yes the flat paint will show up less of the imperfections than a satin. If the satin finish is a latex you can directly over it with the flat but it willl take at least two coats to completely cover it.
