I have an older craftsman home built in 1910. The walls are lath and plaster. I am doing a small remodel of my kitchen and have encountered a couple of holes in the wall that were previously covered by a false front. The holes were obviously created to identify where the electrical wires run down the wall. The lath has been cut and the plaster removed. Does anyone have any experience with replacing the lath and then plastering over this new lath? These holes are approximately 12-16 inches square. I will have to open the holes up a little bit to reach the studs to replace the lath. Any suggestions?
