I don't have any exact time that the floor will stay wet but if you are replacing the tile with wood anyway I would remove all the tile so the drying process will be sped up......Mark Hammond
You definitely should figure out the source of the moisture before laying wood floors. Tile is resilient to moisture problems, but wood will warp and decay in the presence of a leak like that.
Try laying a plastic sheet down in the suspect area and taping the ends to the subfloor, making sure the plastic covers the entire area of the previous leak. If water collects on the top, then you have a drip from the same (or other) leak. If on the underside, you might have water seeping up from below (rare, but it happens).
