My husband (who is a contractor) & I are remodeling a bathroom in our house. We would like to put in a 36x48 tiled shower. We are considering eliminating the threshold and installing a linear shower drain. Does anyone have any experience with installing or using this product? Will the linear drain be sufficient to keep water from coming outside of the shower, or would it be a good idea to also install a standard round shower drain to be sure the water won't get out of the shower area, since there won't be a threshold?

Go with a 2" drain as as back up and thy to connect it with another trap /waste line if possible

Having both inlets connected to the same drain pipe is useless if the main line gets blocked

This is what happens when to many drains are connected to a common waste line
