alarms going off all at same time for no reason ,turned off circuit breaker, had to take all off ceiling to shut off?

If there was no smoke or dust around the smoke detectors then it sounds like you could have a bad detector. I would recommend to buy a new one swap out 1 by 1 until you find the bad detector.
Remember to take one with you to confirm you purchase the correct type.

Did this happen near the bathrooms or the kitchen. Many a times, it is smoke escaping from these two locations that could give rise to the alarm going off. Else, it is malfunctioning on account of age (10 years old or nearabout). You need to get them changed then.
