I have a room that has one brick wall and 3 osb painted walls (which we detest). I would like to do something/anything to these 3 other walls to have some uniformity in the room....so I bought some mortar mix and spanish rock. Is it possible to put the mortar mix directly on the walls or should I seal it or remove the osb altogether?

I'm not sure if osb needs a sealer, but I do know you'll probably need to fasten some wire mesh to the osb to 'anchor' the mortar to the wall.

I just completed a similar project and most manufactruers of the cultured stone recommend a vapor barrier such as tar paper. You then attach a metal lath with galv nails to the wall/OSB preferably fastening into the studs. A scratch coat of motar is applied and allowed to dry for 24hrs. Then the rock mortered onto the wall.
You'll be pleased with the results.
