I would love to hear everyones ideas for this! My kitchen is about 13 x 13, very small, very square. I'd like to paint the walls, paint or refinish the cabinets and paint the laminate counter tops! My problem is, the floor is entirely tropical brown granite. So, it has browns, pinks, etc....and unfortunately, I don't have the option to replace the floor right now! So, what does everyone think: wall color?? cabinet color? laminate counter top color? In this picture, if you look at the wall right next to the stove, that is exactly the granite that is on my floor.

First off I would recommend not painting the counter tops as it will be a maintenance issue with the paint peeling and chipping off.

You can paint the cabinets with no problems.

You can go with an off white on the cabinets and a taupe on the walls.

Since you have to work with browns and pinks, I would try to go for other earth tone colors - not sure exactly what you are in to but a rustic kitchen might be nice.

I would put a pecan stain on the cabinets and paint the walls a cranberry color. The cranberry would not clash with the pinkie color in the tile. I know alot of people are afraid of darker/strong color in small spaces but I have always painted in size room the colors I love and never been unhappy. I once had a small living room that was a square that was 10x10 and painted the long wall that went down the hallway a dark green and it made the room look bigger. Go with the colors you love and have fun...if you don't like it...whats a gallon of paint or 2.

I would remove the old varnish on the cabinets and re varnish with a pine color. And then for the walls I would suggest a calm blue color, a nice bright blue to liven up your kitchen.

Hi, You can use paint to create the illusion of natural materials such as wood, marble, granite, etc. There are so many natural colors of paint which you can apply as per your choice. The amount of paint you need for each room will depend on the size of the area to be painted.

Cheers!

Hi, I can see the snapshot picture of the kitchen you have shared here. It is really good color for the kitchen. I like this and think to change my kitchen color.

Hi there, i suggest you not to paint the cabinets and just put maple brown varnish on it. And then a shade of blue maybe light blue or sky blue to the walls. Good luck to your choices.

I would paint the cabinets a white or cream and then add a countertop with cream/brown speckles..something with a contrasting color, but not too much contrast. I would just ignore the floor until you can replace it-- get a nice area rug that goes with your cabinets and countertop and cover the floor.
