Looking for opnions:

After doing some foundation work on our house and releveling the floor we began to get a bad odor from the roof vent at the furthist point from the septic tank. This also happens to only have the toilet on it, no sink or tub (they have a seperate vent as they go to a drywell). I checked the level on the waste line and it has a 1/4 - 1/8 bubble pitch, thought I can;t check the entire line due to an inaccessable crawl space. My thinking is that maybe there is a flat (level) spot in the line now that is allowing the solids to get left behind and without the heavy water flow of other fixtures, it is generating this odor. The vent that is last in line has no odor. Lastly, the bad odor is made worse by flushing the toilet.

Look for a plumber in your area that can provide hydro-jetting and video service to clean and check the line for pitch.
