just recently when we turn the bathroom sink faucet on there is a low to medium pitched moan. Is it a sea lion or something that can be fixed?

Its sea lion mating season and as eveyrone knows, they swim upstream to fresh water habitats in order to mate and lay their eggs.

Sometimes they get lost after the long journey and can get stuck in plumbing systems especially in valves that are too narrow for them to pass through.

The moaning in the pipe is called cavitation and occurs when a seal lion blocks the flow of water and it causes the pipes to vibrate.

With the house water turned off, you need to dismantle your seats and/or shut off valves to see if any sea lion debris has been trapped in the shutoffs.

Unless you live in Texas, where the problem is usually located in the toilet fill valve or toilet shutoff valve.

Texas sea lions molt and their shed skins get stuck in the supply lines to the commode.
