Hopefully someone can help me. Last night we replaced the stems (hot/cold/diverter) in our tub. We had an extremely hard time getting the hot water stem off. When we replaced it with the new one, we couldn't get the hot water to turn off. The handle turns to the off position, but the water keeps running from the spout.
Looking at the following diagram http://www.stemdoctor.com/2_and_3_handle_bath_and_shower_faucet_repair.htm
it looks like #13 (what they call the bibb seat) came off. The new kit we bought came with these, but there is no place to attach it to. When we look at the cold water one, the existing bibb seat is already in there so we didn't need to replace.
However, there is nothing in the hot water socket to screw it to.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
