Bvplumbing
We would like to install a 1/2 bath in our basement, which is only 4ft under ground. There is already a shower (we'd like to remove), washer, dryer, furnace, and electrical box. All of the plumbing is in the corner we'd like to add the 1/2 bath. I guess mostly my questions are... I this a DIY project (we are very handy), do we have to have any special plumbing systems since we aren't as deep as the average basement or like a normal 1st or higher story installation? We are renting the home with the option to buy and the landlord is willing to pay within reason and if he doesn't have to hire a plumber. Any comments would be greatly appriciated. Thank you.

Sounds like a winner your land lord "As long as he doesn't have to hire a plumber"

Did anyone bother to think that if a new bathroom is added and not properly fled or installed it would be considered a violation and will affect the C of O and could later have severe consequences such as fines and the possibility of having the job removed depending on local codes and how strict the enforcement
