My builder is taking out about 2x2 feet in both my kitchen, and another in my living room just for heating/AC.
Initially, the plans only had the duct-work in the living rm, then the plans changed to move the duct-work to the kitchen. HOWEVER, the original duct-work stays in the living room.
How do I know if this is correct. The house is a 2200 s.ft house (new construction). Does this offer me any benefits?

Thx,
Eddie

It sounds as though the kitchen area was going to be fed with a concealed duct (in a wall or ceiling). For some reason, the duct must now be exposed. Not a problem after being dressed up to look like part of the wall and ceiling.
