i'm building a home and some have recommended propane use for heating (we have no natural gas on our street). others have strongly advised against it (these are generally the oil companies)......

could someone compare/pros and cons of oil vs propane for home heating using hydronic radiant heat....

please help!

thank you!

But what about averaging in the efficencies of propane vs the lack of efficences of an oil system? Does this make up the difference in price per gallon ?

It just seems the added expense for the yearly maintence increases oil .10 per gallon and just is not clean

We've been looking at the Polaris 95-96% efficient hot water heater which is powered with natural gas or propane. Have you any experience with this product?
