I'm renting a home with an old gas boiler. The pilot light on the boiler blew out over the summer, and I need to relight it.
Instructions written on the boiler state that the manual gas shut-off valve and the pilot valve need to be turned off for five minutes. Are those the electric switch (on the left) and the knob (on the right) of the attached photo?
The red lever (in the middle) says to push for 60 seconds to light the pilot light. Do I hold the match in the flame area while pushing on the button?
Thanks for any help!
Nicole
