If it was me...

Cut 2 3-1/2" holes where the fixtures are going. If you have a basement, fish wires to basement then route to a new cut-in switch. You will need to measure twice or thrice and drill a hole through the floor that is covered by wall. To locate you can use a 3" drywall screw run almost tight to the floor at the edge of the shoe molding. Locate screw in basement and drill about 1 -1/2" away from screw, into wall.

If you have a 1-story house you basically do same thing in attic. Again measuring multiple times to make sure you are in the wall.

Finally, you can bust holes in the wall and ceiling. This will of course require patching. One method is to make two holes--one in the wall and on ein the ceiling at the point where they meet. Then with a large drill bit-1" or 1-1/2" drill on a 45degree angle into the joint where the ceiling and wall meets, to a depth of 1-1/2" (approx). fish wire thru the to holes and lay into the hole at the joint. I like to use a staple to hold the sheathed electrical cable in the joint, then patch over.

Sorry, the wiring method used is sheathed electrical cable.

Not sure where you are going to go in the ceiling, but you need to know direction of joists to fish or drill more holes and patch.

As always, if you are not sure of what you are doing, call a professional licensed electrician.

The 2 3-1/2" holes are sized for "old work" boxes that are used to mount the fixtures and make the needed wire splice to the fixture.
