i recently was spray painting in my garage and got paint on some leather shoes that were sitinng outside. it is actually overpray. i have tried everything under the sun to get it off but it won't come off. help!!!!!! shari

Dear Mom.
Try using a razor blade to scrape off the paint and redye and repolish the shoes.

Razor blade??????????????? On leather? Good grief.

I'd try a citrus based paint stripper first, but apply it conservatively to a part of the shoe that isn't real noticeable. You might wish to contact a shoemaker as well, to inquire on how the leather might react to such a chemical. Dave

If alcohol doesn't clean 'em, consider them your "painting shoes" and buy another pair
