We have a 25 yr. old rancher with alumninum siding that we want replaced with vinyl. Aprox. 2800 sq. ft. with estimates ranging from $5500 to $10,600. Here is a list of brands that are being shown to us:

1. Heartland-Cedar Peaks

2. CertainTeed-Monogram and Mainstreet

3. Alcoa-Carvedwood Series 2, Mill Creek, and Trademark. Could someone recommend a brand from my list or one that is not listed? thanks!

It is hard to answer your question without knowing your reasons for wanting new siding, where you live, other details on what is included for the price, etc.

All I can say is that here in my market, I would not even look at someone with the low price you mentioned.

If you are looking for what in my view is the best siding on the market, look at www.prodigysiding.com. I don't think it is available in all markets yet, and it is not on the low end of the price scale, but it is a great product.

Good Luck!
