I just purchased a split level home that is about 40 y/o. Of course the previous homeowner said "No Water" but there is. On the one side of the house, the wall line goes down side of the laundry room and garage. Water is seeping in along this wall. Along that wall, is a really steep high grade up the wall and was covered alomst 12 in deep with ivy. I removed all the ivy... graded a steeper slope, packed the dirt layed plastic and placed river jack rocks and new sod. It still leaked .. what else needs to be done. We can't afford to have someone come out and we tried going after the previous homeowners which didn't work. Should I pull alway all the grade and just make a small slope and replace the plastic and rocks. Is it leaking because the grade is too high and retaining water??? Any advice. Would really appreciate it.
