I have a folding attic ladder that has three sections. The bottom section folds clockwise onto the middle section. The middle (and bottom) then folds counter-clockwise onto the top section. Finally, the top section is then pushed up to be flush with the ceiling.

I added buckle snaps to keep the bottom and middle sections together. The problem is, with the weight of the bottom and middle sections, I cannot lift them high enough to fold onto the top section. I have the same problem getting them down.

I'm hoping someone knows of a product or has an idea that would help me in putting away and getting down the ladder. I was thinking of some sort of a pulley system, but am not sure how to make it work.
