I saw a program that Bob did in Charleston, SC. A carpenter but cabinets from scratch instead of buying stock. I want some more information on what goes into a project like that. I want to know if you have to use plywood or can you use osb for the back and inside of the cabinet. I also want to know how many supports should go in for the shelves and the base of the cabinets. I really just want a more detailed plan for doing this project instead of the small insert I saw on t.v.

What - they don't have libraries or bookstores whre you live? There are many good books on cabinet building. There is too much info to detail in a forum like this.

I'd recommend birch plywood for the carcass. It gives the strongest carcass and a great surface for finishing.
