The storm windows are my house are at least 15 years old. They are exterior, with an aluminum frame into which slides a glass insert and a separate screen insert. The glass and screen inserts have broken or been bent, such that they don't fit well into the tracks any more. The aluminum frames are fine. My question is: will a contractor want to work with my existing frames and just replace the glass and screen inserts, or will he want to start over with a new frame? I ask because I'm wondering about cost. Is a large home store the best place to use, or a smaller contractor? Thanks.
