We finished a basement 4-5 years ago and put armstrong sheet vinyl over some of the flooring with just one coat of sealant on the concrete and then the vinyl. We recently had to remove all of the flooring due to mold mildew. It is not a wet basement but it is a second home so the dehumidifier was not running all of the time. The rest of the basement has glued down vinyl plank and seems OK. We have not had flood/wet areas. I think the problem is from moisture vapor coming up from ground.
My question is would Dricore subfloor be sufficient and should we put vinyl click and lock or ceramic over that? We want to make the best choice as we are concerned about health and a repeat issue in future.
