I bought the Hunter Avia Model #59234 which came with remote to control the light and fan.

At the moment, I have it wired up per the instructions and works great. But, the wall switch operation (on/off) does not make a difference.

I want to use the single switch I have on the wall to be able to control the light.

On the switch, there are 3 wires - Red, Black and Green

From the ceiling, I have the Red wire capped off; Green connected to other green wires from the fan and the receiver; Black connected to the input of the receiver black wire.

Can someone help on how to wire it such that flipping a wall switch will turn the light on?

Just wondering if you ever figured this out? Having the same issue.

Easy. Just use the wires from the switch to create a "break" in between the wire from the remote that connects to the light kit. One wire to the remote and the other to the light.
