I have four hardwired interconnected smoke detectors. If I disconnect all of them, take out the betteries and press the button until they drain, will they stop chirping or will the wiring continue to chirp? The power to the alarms is on the same circuit as lighting and not on a separate breaker.

I only want to know if this will work as a very temporary option. I intend to put up replacement battery operated alarms until I can get the hardwired ones replaced. Everytime the temperature drops below 25 degrees, one or more smoke alarms begins to chrip. They all have brand new batteries and have been cleaned out and reset.
