I have a new second floor with a truss roof and 2x6 walls. The roof area requires r49. No way I can get batts in area r49 where the roof meets the wall. Not enough space. The only option I know is spray foam. The prices are off the charts. Do I have any options? Is there some type of allowance or percentage of that area that needs to be covered with r49 and you max what you can where space doesn't allow? It appears they are literally forcing you to use foam and elevating the price of the job.
