We have had a musty odor in our half of our pier and beam house since we moved in 15 years ago. We recently did a remodel where all hvac ducts were replaced or repaired, all plumbing pipes were checked and sealed if needed. We had some mold remediation completed. We also have a sump pump and fans in the crawlspace, and french drains that were installed about 6 years ago. The musty odor remains. The humidity level is about 70% We are considering encapsulation with dehumidifiers. Does this solution sound appropriate, or is a dehumidifier enough. We live in north Texas. Thank you for your recommendations.
