Hello all,
My wife and I bought a house that was built in the 60s and weve recently been experiencing some water damage from our bathroom. The leaking has caused rot in the particle board in the hallway. The problem is that the particle board is coated in absbestos containing black mastic. I read that the best way to remove it is a wet method and scraping/hepa-filter vacuuming, but since the particle board is so rotted I dont think it would work. I wanted to cut out the section that is water damaged and put a board in, but I dont think I can do that without disturbing the absbestos. Has anybody dealt with this before or have any advice?
Thank you all!
