I need to replace some of my soffit and fascia boards. I'm thinking about using a synthetic or composite wood material that would resist rot. It seems like there are so many different products out there, I'm not sure what would be the best for this project. Can you make any suggestions or recommendations?

Also, are these products cheaper than wood?

It costs more than wood, but Hardiboard is supposed to be good stuff.

Hi Bruce,
Hardiplank is a good product and they make a vented soffit that comes in 12", 16" and 24" widths in 12 foot lengths. It is rot proof, can be painted and has the appearance of wood. good choice.....Mark Hammond
