We are currently in the process of converting a single car garage into a family room. At one point this must have been simply a car port, and not an enclosed garage. My problem is that there is a single window in my living room that looks into the garage area. I don't want to have a window looking from the living room into the newly converted family room. Originally thought about a 2-sided book shelf to replace the window, but the contractor doesn't think there is enough depth to the window to do this now. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated - the contractor will be finished in about one week...I need help in a hurry! Thanks

Put a mirror or picture facing into living room and drywall over in garage.

I have an interior window and love it. Guests think it is great and I always get good comments.

If the wall is too thin for books, how about a knic knac shelves?

I find a "Serving Hatch" very convenient - for passing through drinks or whatever. Simply remove window, trim around the "hole" to suit decor, fit large shelf on the bottom and install say a louvre door. It's practical, decorative and cheap.
