First off I would recommend not painting the counter tops as it will be a maintenance issue with the paint peeling and chipping off.

You can paint the cabinets with no problems.

You can go with an off white on the cabinets and a taupe on the walls.

Since you have to work with browns and pinks, I would try to go for other earth tone colors - not sure exactly what you are in to but a rustic kitchen might be nice.

I would put a pecan stain on the cabinets and paint the walls a cranberry color. The cranberry would not clash with the pinkie color in the tile. I know alot of people are afraid of darker/strong color in small spaces but I have always painted in size room the colors I love and never been unhappy. I once had a small living room that was a square that was 10x10 and painted the long wall that went down the hallway a dark green and it made the room look bigger. Go with the colors you love and have fun...if you don't like it...whats a gallon of paint or 2.

I would remove the old varnish on the cabinets and re varnish with a pine color. And then for the walls I would suggest a calm blue color, a nice bright blue to liven up your kitchen.

Hi, You can use paint to create the illusion of natural materials such as wood, marble, granite, etc. There are so many natural colors of paint which you can apply as per your choice. The amount of paint you need for each room will depend on the size of the area to be painted.

Cheers!

Hi there, i suggest you not to paint the cabinets and just put maple brown varnish on it. And then a shade of blue maybe light blue or sky blue to the walls. Good luck to your choices.

I would paint the cabinets a white or cream and then add a countertop with cream/brown speckles..something with a contrasting color, but not too much contrast. I would just ignore the floor until you can replace it-- get a nice area rug that goes with your cabinets and countertop and cover the floor.

I personally prefer it with the countertops and the cabinets are very contrast. So with very light maple cabinets I prefer dark countertops.

Just wondering if you decided anything....try to post pics when you're done. It's always great to see the before and after.

I think a soft green would look very nice. and add a couple small water plants.

of course, you can't miss a wood stove in the kitchen, it will not only warm your house but also be used to cook or boil water. What is your opinion?

Painting or refinishing cabinets is not always as easy as it sounds. It depends on the finish that they have on them. Most well-made cabinets have a durable varnish finish that you can't paint over and that's difficult to strip.

Hi there i have little ideas for your kitchen renovations. If you cook a lot in the kitchen areas and spend most of the time there by using different other cabinets then you would probably not like to wipe and maintain it every now and then as you may fell exhausted after retiring from the kitchen chores. The best way to deal out with basic kitchen appliances around the cabinets is the microwave, refrigerator, kitchen sink and dishwasher.

Wood kitchen cabinet design plans come in a variety of sizes, shapes, styles and you can also go for a customized one as well. You have ample of choices in the type of wood you want for your kitchen cabinet. The prices of these kitchen cabinets totally depends upon the type of wood you choose, with the brand and layout, accessories and the way you want it to give a finish. These are way easy on your pockets which come in number of heights and depths.
It is necessary to decorate your kitchen with something innovative accessory which not only makes your feet delight but also helps you enjoy your work, i am talking about Kitchen rugs.

Yeah, painting counter tops is something that I highly do not recommend! It's just a disaster. Pinks and browns are hard to work with unless you stick with just that: pink and brown. You could do a mocha brown for the walls.
