Hello! I'd be grateful if someone will answer ASAP, as we are thinking of re-doing the floor of our deck next week. Rather than re-staining it again (it is currently treated wood), we've looked at Fiberon and Veranda composite decking at Home Depot. Our deck is about 12' x 12', and is mostly in the sun. It is not covered, though, so it gets wet when it rains. I've read the horror-stories about TimberTech, but have not heard anything at all about Veranda and Fiberon (Veranda & Fiberon may be the same thing). Are they good products? Please let us know, again, ASAP. Oh ... I will also mention that we live in New England and varied weather.

Thank you! Betty & John

I luckily switched to Fiberon with our decking business just before the Trex problems arose because I liked the density of the product.

Since over the years I haven't had one peep of complaint from my customers.

I do design our decks for location & exposure though and we are located in N. California.

The new Fiberon line has a coating that is similar to a golf ball, so do a little research I think you may like it.

We prefer to use the "hidden fastener" system. So no screws show in the field.

Hi Betty & John,

As part of the Fiberon team, I wanted to provide you with some information on our products and warranty.

Fiberon products are resistant to sun and water and come backed with a 20-year Stain and Fade Resistant Warranty. No matter what New England weather may come your way, our products are guaranteed to remain free from rot, fungal degradation, checking, splintering, and delamination.

You can read more about our warranties and easy care steps here: http://www.fiberondecking.com/design/warranty

I'd be more than happy to answer any additional questions you have on Fiberon products. Thanks for considering Fiberon!
