I don't know much about toilets so I am going with a name that I know: Kohler. Can anyone review the various Kohler flush systems and let me know which one is best for me? I am renovating my master bathroom at home. I am willing to pay 500-1000. Thanks.

Kohler Wellworth 1.6 gallon flush. Colors white, almond. Price=$100.00. No need to spend all that money on a water closet, unless you prefer a 1 piece toilet, then the price gets higher. The Wellworth comes pre-installed with a fluidmaster valve, and a blue flapper flush valve.

Can you recommend a good 1-piece?

I personally do not like the 1 piece toilets. Just stick with a name brand, and you'll be fine. Check your local plumbing supply house, that has a showroom.

Terry Love has a report on low flow toilets at: http://www.terrylove.com/crtoilet.htm

I personally recommend a 'comfort height' (ADA) toilet as they are about 2 inches taller than regular ones that have been the same height forever. We went with the Toto Drake but that is a 2-piece.
