I once saw a timed washer shut off valve that once you turned it on it gave you enough time to run a load of laundry then it shut off. I can't seem to find it anywhere. I have a combo washer/dryer that runs on 220 all the products I've seen require you to plug the waher into the 110 plug of the device and opens the valve once it detects the washer running. Can you help?

I can't say I have seen this type of valve. Your washer already has a solenoid valve that opens and closes in conjuction with the timer of the washing machine. If the valve you are mentioning worked off of 120 VAC, then I would think you would need some kind of transformer to step up the voltage. Why are you worried about this anyway? The water is still under pressure before it reaches this mystery valve. Do you live in a high rise,? and are worried about a leak? Let me know I'm curious, Tom

This valve is designed to shut off water-pressure to the hot and cold hoses supplying the washing-machine. The timer allows the washing machine to go through the cycles and shuts off safely with no worry about burst hoses when the homeowner is away. One can find this on the internet. erik

I live inn a condo and the washer is on the first floor with no drainage. My neighbor was unlucky enough to have a hose burst and flooded the cellar. Plus I'm selling and want to give the new owner peace of mind.

If this can be found on the internet can you tell me where? I've used every key word search I know and no luck so far.

Ya thanks I looked at that one and it runs on 110 volts. The machine I have is a combo and runs both washer and dryer on 220.

What I was looking for was a mechanical timer device.

Thanks anyhow.
