Well, I've tried the most expensive, and i'm sure someone will suggest something much cheaper that I didn't think of.

We all know the sound that a water heater makes when it has a lime buildup inside, that gurgling, rumble throughout the house. Well I had such a sound, and quickly went online to find out what to do. I used a limeaway product and flushed the water heater out. It worked perfectly. Oh, by the way the water heater was about 7 years old, and gas.

Sooo, after about 3 months of quiet running, my rumble started back again, so, like most of us, I thought it was the lime problem, and quickly purchased a NEW gas water heater, thinking I was tired of such a sound and problem. Now, after 4 weeks of installation from the new gas water heater, the sound is back !!! what is this erie sound I keep hearing, is it some type of air buildup? the pipes are not banging. It sounds just like the lime buildup again in the water heater, and I'm sure it can't be that in a NEW heater. HELP! PLEASE

When cold water hits the hot water it can make this sound. Is your new dip still installed correctly and is the cold going into the cold side of the heater?
