I have been searching to find the manufacturer of Novi American bathtubs. It is a whirlpool tub and the plastic housing for one of the water jets has cracked causing a major leak. Local plumbing suppliers never heard of Novi and a search on the web has not turned up any references. Would appreciate any info on Novi or a supplier who may be able to provide a similiar part. Thanks.

Red731 - hi, I did a Google search on "Novi American" (using the quotation marks to help limit the search) and chose a likely looking link. It took me to a building supplier site (AEC something-or-other). At the bottom of the page, it had a link for Toilet, Bath and Accessories - clicking it and scrolling down, I found the following info:

Novi American, Inc.

6195 Purdue Drive

Atlanta, GA 30336

404-344-5600 (phone)

404-344-3185 (fax)

I hope this helps you - regards! Jim D/West Point, VA

Jim D,

Thanks for the lead; unfortunately the Novi American Atlanta office no longer exists. Using your suggestion on the Google search, I learned that Maax Inc. acquired Novi in 1998. I am now in pursuit of Maax......

Red731 - hi again, and I'm sorry my lead wasn't very helpful. I went through the same thing while fixing a Jacuzzi for my landlord in my last house. He'd bought it and installed it when he built the house some 14 years ago, but nobody in the greater Richmond (VA) area carried equipment by that manufacturer. I ended up doing the Google thing and got some leads that pointed me to Seattle, WA. I made a few phone calls and got a good lead to a company that bought out the original one. I called them and got very lucky - their lead engineer had been the designer of the Jacuzzi I was repairing! Over a couple lengthy phone calls, he walked me through the parts of the schematic diagram that had been obliterated over time, recommended some replacement parts based on the problems I described, and helped me get it running. When I moved out earlier this summer, I gave the landlord the phone number and website address for him to pass to the buyers of the house.

So, with luck you'll locate the Maax folks and they'll be able to help you out. About the only other option would be to pull out the cracked jet housing and take it to several places to see if they can match it up in size. Matching the color may be a luxury you won't get. Best of luck - regards! Jim D/West Point, VA

I have similar problem and received very good response from the MAAX service center in trying to identfy the parts. Check out Maax web site on where to call or email. I have been given part numbers and was told I can order them from **********.

MAAX acquired Novi in the late '90's.

I have not ordered parts yet but am hopeful they will work.

We just moved in to our new house and we have discovered that we can not use the tub due to the leaky jet ring. Does anyone know where I can get it fixed or a manufactures number of where I can call? I have tried to find Novi Baths but they no longer exist. Thanks from michigan

I need these parts also! Don't know how many jets I will need. Have received no response from MAAX yet.

Can another manufacture's jets fit these tubs?

I am surprised Maax has not responded to you. The Maax service desk rep at 1-888-304-4388 was very helpful and succesful at researching the jet parts I needed for my Novi tub.

I have a similar problem with Novi bath tub parts. This is what I have found. Novi was originally manufactured in Atlanta GA. They were bought out by someone, who was then bought out by MAAX (1-888-304-4388). MAAX was unable to help me with my parts but that may not be the case for others. I found out that a company called Ultra Jet (1-800-467-0827) was the manufacturer of the jets which Novi installed in many of the tubs. I called them and sent them pictures of my part and they did not recognize the part at all.

I have a Novi American Tub (60x32) with 6 jets. The model number of the tub is SCM11. The part I need is the wall flange that has cracked.

I havn't decided exactly what I will do yet, but would anyone be interested in buying my parts or selling me their parts?

Contact me at toddandsue@msn.com. Send phone number and we can discuss.

We have identified many of the parts Novi used to use on their tubs. Maax bought them and then shut them down in '99 or so.

If you can take a look at our website and click on Novi link it will show you what we have found. If you jet trim is not shown please take a digital picture and email to me (sales@uspartscenter.com) and I will try to identify it.

Anyone looking for parts for these tubs should try: http://www.jetsetc.com or Keith Deauque at : baintech@baintech.com

I could not believe the service I received from this company. I looked for the parts for my Novi tub for months until I found this company and then the follow up service was outstanding.

Novi American went out of business in the early 1990's. They were headquartered in Novi, Michigan. They manufactured tub walls, shower doors and the Bubbletub.

Thank you to BobVila for offering this chat info. (and all those folks who have posted). I have just bought a house in Albuquerque, New Mexico with a fully operational Novi American jetted tub & now I know how to keep it in tip top shape. Thanks!
