I had turned off the hot and cold water while replacing an old faucet. When I went to turn the hot water back on, I could get the knob to turn at all! (cold works fine) I tried WD40 and mineral oil to no avail. I was twisting so hard the knob started to bend. I tried taking off the knob and using pliers, but the teeth start to strip. Any suggestions, or am I doomed to wash my face with cold water from now on?
