I posted this in plumbing, too, but thought I would try here, as well.

What are people's experience with the "new" tankless water heaters? I know that the Europeans have used them for years, but the ones I experienced when I went to Europe last year did not impress me. They did not supply enough water for showers, only supplying enough for that annoyingly-painful, high-pressure, fine spray. Not my idea of a relaxing shower. I suspect I ran into the cheapo models, though, because they were smaller in size than the ones I have seen here in stores, and they were installed in Bed & Breakfast Inns, where lowering costs is usually more important than comfort. The thing I am most concerned with is volume: enough for several long, hot, high-volume showers.

Hi Lawrence,
Re: Tankless water heaters

I have a Takagi TK-2 brand in my home, which produces more hot water per minute than any other brand available in this country today. It replaced two 40 gallon tanks and I never run out of hot water. I can have 3 faucets running simultaneously non-stop.
Go to www.energyinnovations.net or call 1-888-455-2312. These people are the experts.
Thank you
Kay
