My Hot water heating system has three zones. At times the circulating pump will stick on and the house will get extremely warm as the boiler won't turn off. I'm not sure how I resolved this in the past (likely by accident), but one method which has worked a couple of times is to turn all three zones up all the way for about 5 minutes and then go and turn them all down.

Any thoughts on where I should start looking? I have looked at the wiring connections on the valves and all is okay.

Thanks.

I have looked at the zone valve motors (as well as manually turned them) to ensure that was not the problem. If it isn't the zone valves themselves, what would be the likely next culprit??
