My air conditioning unit isn't level. I know that could cause future problems. I want to level it but I'm not sure how to disconnect the different connections so I could create a level surface for it to rest on. Any help would be appreciated.

If the condensing unit is on a pad, use plastic shims to level it out. The electrical connection should have some play in it. The copper line set is indeed soft tempered copper, however you don't want to disturb the silver soldered joints if possible.

Are you referring to the air handler, or condensing unit? The air handler might not be totally level, in order for the condensate to drain properly. I agree with the other reply, you can level a condensing unit with plastic shims.
