I recently noticed a hole opening up in my yard from erosion. I dug around the area, and found a pipe (tiling) leading away from my house to this area, and dead ending there underground (its from the sump pump). What is unusual is that I found a second pipe starting there, and dead ending about another 10 feet away at the edge of my property line with my neighbors house. The first pipe obviously brings water pumped from the sump away from the house, the second appears to be moving it farther away (but why two separate pipes)? My question, do I fill the hole that is forming with gravel to aid in the drainage, and then cover with soil/grass to try to repair the area, or should I do something else??
