I currently have my electrical subpanel adjacent to the door from my garage into my house.

We are planning on a major remodel and would like to relocate our door to about where our subpanel currently is. Is it possible to relocate the subpanel and is it a big deal?

Anything is po$$ible. Can't say how big of a deal this will be without seeing the location, how many circuits are involved and such.

Hello Scott, I liked your po$$ible.

mmano1, as far as your question:

quote:

Yes to both parts. Now the second part, is it a big deal?.

Even with experienced electricians and installers, this is not the easiest task to do in the simplist moves.

So, it can be "somewhat difficult", "just plain difficult", or " a real pain in the stern.

I'm not trying to discourage you, but, be prepared for a quote that may seem high, or if you are going to tackle it, be prepared for some true agravation, and maybe still a quote that seems high later.

Roger

If All the cables come infrom the right ans you want to move to the right then it might not be a big deal. If any cable come infrom the left and you want to move it right then the calbes are too short and now you need to extend them. It is a big deal. If there is conduit then it is even a bigger deal.
